UAB Department of Obstetrics and
Gynecology, to provide the most up-to-date and effective care to patients;
to advance the nation's scientific understanding of women health; and to translate this new knowledge into
improved diagnosis, treatment, and prevention.
Patient Care
we offer remarkable Obstetrics and Gynecology services. With close to 5,000 deliveries
every year. Our divisions of Mternal Fetal Medicine, Gnecology Oncology, Reproductive
Women's Health, Women's Pelvic Medicine and Reconstructive Surgery, Reproductive
Endocrinology and Infertility Services work together closely to make the best use
of Department of OB/GYN's wide array of resources.
Education
Our Residency program attracts the best. The department of OB/GYN offer fellowships
in four areas approved by the American Board for Obstetrics and Gynecology:
Gynecology Oncology
International Women’s Health and Clinical Epidemiology
Maternal and Fetal Medicine
Reproductive Endocrinology and Infertility Services
Women's Pelvic Medicine and Reconstructive Surgery

Our Research program is consistently among the top 10 National Institutes of Health funded Obstetrics and Gynecology research programs.
