Grants Development Office
The Grants Development Office (GDO) is a service of the Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology
designed to assist its faculty and administrative staff with the attainment of extramural
research funding. Services include comprehensive assistance in the identification, development,
submission, and maintenance of grants and contracts.
The GDO is a valuable source of support to faculty and administrative staff, serving as the hub
for information and assistance for most funding submissions and grant maintenance matters.
The office offers assistance with:
* Grant opportunity identification
* Review and assistance with agency guidelines for application process
* Budget and justification preparation and agency budget form completion
* Resources and Environment descriptions
* Communication with officials within funding agencies and
the UAB Office of Grants and Contracts (OGCA)
* Reminders concerning grant renewals
* Notices regarding agency changes in policy, guidelines, and processes
* Other assistance on as-needed basis
