Orientation Schedule
Monday, October 26, 2009,
Orientation will take place at JT 606 at 8:15 a.m. with Dr. Brian
Gleason, Clerkship Director. Remember to view the video presentations
prior to attending orientation:
Episiotomy Repair, and
Knot-tying.
You will be provided instruments and a knot-tying manual at orientation
for practice during the clerkship.
Please view the following online resources prior to pelvic exam review during the first week of
clerkship.

video and article.
During this session:

Clinical schedules will be distributed and
reviewed.

Clerkship expectations, goals, and objectives will
be discussed.

Use of the E*Value system for clerkship, rotation,
students, residents, fellows/faculty evaluations as well as mandatory
procedure and diagnosis logs will be discussed.

Use of the clerkship website will be demonstrated.

Demonstration Classes: Scrub and
Sterilization, Vaginal Delivery.

Make sure you bring scrubs with you to
Orientation.

Pelvic Exam sessions are mandatory and will
be conducted during the first week of the clerkship.

Scrub & Sterilization Class
You should go to the classes in scrubs so that the classes will
begin and end on time.
