Orientation Schedule

Monday, October 26, 2009, Orientation will take place at JT 606 at 8:15 a.m. with Dr. Brian Gleason, Clerkship Director.  Remember to view the video presentations prior to attending orientation:  Episiotomy Repair, and  Knot-tying.  You will be provided instruments and a knot-tying manual at orientation for practice during the clerkship.

 

Please view the following online resources prior to pelvic exam review during the first week of clerkship.

During this session:

  • Clinical schedules will be distributed and reviewed.

  • Clerkship expectations, goals, and objectives will be discussed.

  • Use of the E*Value system for clerkship, rotation, students, residents, fellows/faculty evaluations as well as mandatory procedure and diagnosis logs will be discussed.

  • Use of the clerkship website will be demonstrated.

  • Demonstration Classes:  Scrub and Sterilization, Vaginal Delivery.

  • Make sure you bring scrubs with you to Orientation.

  • Pelvic Exam sessions are mandatory and will be conducted during the first week of the clerkship.  Click here for the schedule of assigned dates and times.

Scrub & Sterilization Class

You should go to the classes in scrubs so that the classes will begin and end on time.
