APGO
Undergraduate Web-Based Interactive Self-Examination (uWISE)
|
Welcome to
uWise,
the APGO Undergraduate Web-Based Interactive Self-Examination. This
529-question interactive self-exam helps medical students acquire the
necessary basic knowledge in obstetrics and gynecology, regardless of future
medical specialty choice.
This is achieved through self-assessment, using the uWISE clinical
vignettes, with multiple-choice questions and five (5) possible answers with
immediate explanation and feedback. Some questions are enhanced with images
to augment the learning process.
uWise is also an excellent tool to prepare for the NBME Ob-Gyn subject exam
and national licensure examinations.
uWise questions are based on, and linked to, the 8th edition of the APGO
Medical Student Educational Objectives. Each quiz represents one APGO
Objective and contains 10 questions for each Objective (except for
Objectives 57 and 58).
Uses for uWISE
There are several ways for students to utilize the uWISE
questions:
1. Pre-self-assessment prior to a didactic session on a specific topic
2.
Post self-assessment after a didactic session
3.
Practice questions prior to the shelf or department exam
4.
Practice questions prior to Step II USMLE CK exam
5.
Increase knowledge base through feedback provided
